The Challenge

David Newman, the Chief Executive at Carole Nash Insurance Consultants, is embracing his lifelong passion for arctic adventure and, after numerous arctic expeditions; he is now taking on his own personal dream to reach the North Pole.

Following in the footsteps of Nansen, Amundsen and Peary, David is joining a small team of British and Norwegian explorers, led by the legendary polar explorer Rune Gjeldnes, to attain his personal goal of reaching the geographical North Pole.

For David, this is very much a personal challenge, and is not seeking any sponsorship for the expedition since it is already funded and paid for. It is very much a privilege for David to be able to follow his dream and so he is giving back to those less fortunate and is using his connection to the motorcycling world to do so. Two very different charities will benefit; Riders for Health and BASIC, Brain And Spinal Injuries Centre.

How You Can Help

If you want to support David and help him raise money for these fantastic causes then you can make either a corporate or individual donation. For individual donations you can use David’s JustGiving sites to support either charity (or indeed both if you wish). For corporate donations please contact David directly so that he can put you in touch with the charity projects directly, so no money is wasted on admin fees. Every penny that is raised will go directly to the charity and none will be going towards the cost of the expedition, which is already full funded.
